IOWA!! Flat, kinda fast and AWESOME

So this past weekend, I had the choice of Elk Grove or the Iowa State Road Race.

Well as much as I love being rail around corners and eating my weight in brake dust, I opted for the road race, plus I could share a ride up there and stuff. Savin' money, yuh heard.

Anyway, Jamie (the feeder) and I got up at 5 in the am and rolled over to Stan's house. From there we hit up West Branch, IA.

110 miles of road racing, with rollers and little wind. A race of Attrition for sure. I love it.

Anyway, Mercy was there reppin' along with Bikes to you and all 9 yards. those were the three main teams.

Clark Priebe and I tried a million times to get something going, but no avail; everything was being chased by teammates (really?)

Anyway, he got away and soloed for like 1.5 laps, my plan was to let someone else chase and I would just tail gun. But we got another split rollin' and we pulled Clark back in and were swallowed up shortly there after. CRAP

Anyway, long story short, wittled the race down got in every break. missed the last one, picked up 11th.

oh well, no team, that's a pretty solid result.

RGF weekend, super nervous
